I've been a little depressed that I had to miss my bestie's wedding last month. Especially when I had been planning on this trip and getting away from here (utah). When my job wouldn't let me have the time off, I had no choice but to give up on my fantasy of a vacation. So to make some sort of amends to myself and Preslie, I booked a weekend up in Park City. Not too far away, but far enough! One of my good friends made fun of me for doing this, because I should've just stayed home and gone to the pool, but I think she missed the bigger picture.
At a hotel,
1. I can leave a mess, and someone will always clean up after ME (not the other way around),
2. I can hang out at the pool and be guaranteed a lawn chair and less of a crowd to stare at me and my white legs,
3. it gives me an excuse to eat out because I don't have a kitchen or microwave or any way of cooking food,
4. I get to watch tv in bed (yes, I am one of those who doesn't have a tv in my room),
5. my kids can jump on the beds and be as loud as they want (within reason) and I don't worry about them being so noisy
6. We all snuggled in one bed and watched tv
Sounds pretty good so far, right? Well, let's get on to the bad part. Saturday morning, we got ready to head to the outlet mall, went to the car, and my car wouldn't start! I didn't know if maybe something was left on, so we called the ONLY tow place in PC for a jump start. $50 later, and we were on our way. Got gas, shopped, tried to find the gondola (no luck) and went back to the hotel. Took a nap, spent several hours at the pool, and went to leave to go eat dinner in town, and yes, the car wouldn't start. Again! Can you believe that not a single person at the hotel had jumper cables? Well no one did. We ate dinner at the hotel, and we were getting some stuff out of the car and someone had jumper cables and jumped my car. Yeah! Not really. I knew it was short lived. I also knew it would be dead by morning. The car got jumped again this morning (my hero drove from Ogden up to rescue me) and we drove to have breakfast on the way home. Dead again. Finally made it to AutoZone, battery was bad, and they replaced it. $120 later, we were finally on the way home.
Preslie was upset that we didn't ride the gondola or go to the zoo, and she's reminded me about 100 times over the course of the day. But, let's just consider what this trip was supposed to be, a GETAWAY! And it was. The hotel was nice, and the restaurant at the hotel was good. The weather was great! Would I do it again? You bet!!
Now for some pics...
Kycen checking out every single drawer in the room

Trying to get a pic of my two babies (didn't happen)

Oh, the pool :)

Even a pic of me trying to get some sun

What a stud! Check out those shades...lol

And my little fish, who didn't mind the sub-zero pool temps (especially for it being a "heated" pool)

Notice, Kycen isn't found in the water, ever. It was just too cold for him (and me since I would've had to be in there with him).
