Happy Easter!!

Even though Easter is not supposed to be about eggs and candy, with little kids in the house, it kind of is. Kycen and I were up at 7am, so we hid the eggs outside for Preslie (I know I'm lame and a slacker), and then went to the store to pick up a couple of things-donuts for breakfast and a box of pudding for my mom. By the time Preslie decided to wake up, it was 9:20am, and she still had to get showered and ready for church, BEFORE she could even go find her eggs. At this point, Kycen was going down for a nap.

The mini hunt

I was in charge of dessert for dinner, so I made white cupcakes with cooked frosting and coconut. Preslie dyed the coconut green so that it looked like grass, and then we put pinwheels in some of the cupcakes, and jelly beans on others. They turned out pretty cute I must say. We have been making some stuff for easter...decorations and such...for something new. I made a cute Happy Easter sign, we made the pinwheels, we made napkin rings, and water bottle wraps for the kids drinks. It's getting me ready to go all out for Preslie's party I think...

We always do a big egg hunt for the kids in my sisters backyard. This year, we hid 84 eggs (between 3 kids you would think this is a little overboard), and managed to find all but one. Not sure how that happened. Maybe I miscounted, who knows. Preslie found 28, Kycen got 7, Devin found 22, and Kyrie found 26. All that matters is that the kids had fun, right?!

Happy Easter everyone!
